At Precision Fence & Deck, we’re a local, family-centered fence and deck contractor proudly serving homeowners, builders, and businesses throughout Pierce County and the surrounding Western Washington communities.

Precision Fence & Deck was built from years of hands-on carpentry experience. August brings 6 years of carpentry experience, Ryan brings 12 years, and together our background includes 10 years of union carpenter experience.
That experience influences everything we do, from framing and waterproofing to the small finishing details that give a fence, deck, pergola, or railing system its character.
We started in fencing because we saw a real need for dependable, quality fence installation in our community. As more customers began asking us to build decks and outdoor living spaces, we naturally expanded into custom deck construction, composite decking, pergolas, deck coverings, skylights, and more.

For our wood fences, we use pressure-treated ground-contact 4x4 posts and pressure-treated 2x4 framing. We use cedar fence boards because cedar is well suited for the wet Pacific Northwest climate and provides the natural look many homeowners in our area want.

Our composite decking materials from Trex and TimberTech are designed for outdoor conditions and come with manufacturer warranties of up to 25 years or longer, depending on the specific product selected.
Built With the PNW Climate in Mind
The structure underneath your deck matters just as much as the finished surface you see.
For deck and pergola framing exposed to the elements, we use pressure-treated lumber to help protect the structure from moisture and decay.
Deck framing also receives flashing tape to help resist water intrusion and extend the life of the framing.
When a deck ledger is attached to the home, we install it behind the siding and use a waterproofing system that includes flashing tape and metal flashing. The metal flashing runs beneath the home's siding and over the deck ledger to help direct water away from the connection and reduce the risk of moisture damage and rot over time.
These details may not be the first thing you notice when looking at a finished deck, but they're some of the most important parts of building something that lasts in Western Washington.

When you contact Precision Fence & Deck, we'll schedule a time to meet with you in person. We'll take measurements, talk through your ideas, discuss the materials you prefer, and learn how you want the finished space to look and function.
We'll also offer suggestions, design ideas, and possible upgrades based on your goals.
When appropriate, we can create a visual concept to help you better picture what the finished project could look like before construction begins.
From there, we'll prepare a detailed project estimate. Our written proposal explains the scope of work and the different parts of the construction process so both you and our team have a clear understanding of what will be completed.
We want the process to feel comfortable, transparent, and straightforward from the first conversation through the final walkthrough.
