Custom Deck Construction Built for Pacific Northwest Living

At Precision Fence & Deck, we build custom decks designed to feel like a true extension of your home. Whether you want a simple platform deck, a multi-level outdoor living space, or a custom design with railings, stairs, pergolas, skylights, or a deck covering, we bring craftsmanship, creativity, and structural integrity to every project.

As a local deck contractor serving Pierce County and surrounding Western Washington communities, we understand what outdoor spaces have to handle here in the Pacific Northwest. Rain, moisture, changing temperatures, and year-round exposure all play a role in how a deck should be built, which is why we focus just as much on the structure underneath as we do on the finished surface you see.

Our goal is to create decks that are Strong, Secure, and Built to Last.

Composite and Cedar Decking Options

We specialize in both composite and cedar deck construction, giving homeowners the flexibility to choose the look, maintenance level, and performance that best fits their property.

Our deck options include:

  • Trex composite decking

  • TimberTech composite decking

  • Cedar wood decks

  • Platform decks

  • Multi-level decks

  • Custom deck stairs

  • Railing systems

  • Wood pergolas

  • Metal pergolas

  • Deck coverings

  • Skylights

  • Custom outdoor living features

Composite decking is a popular choice for Pacific Northwest homeowners because it offers long-term durability with minimal maintenance. Trex and TimberTech products are engineered for outdoor exposure and come with manufacturer warranties of up to 25 years or longer, depending on the specific board selected.

For homeowners who prefer the natural warmth and character of wood, we also build cedar decks that complement the look and feel of Northwest homes and landscapes.

Built for the Pacific Northwest Climate

A beautiful deck is only as good as the structure supporting it.

For all deck and pergola framing exposed to the elements, we use pressure-treated lumber to help protect the structure from moisture and decay. We also apply flashing tape to deck framing to help resist water intrusion and extend the life of the framing.

When a deck ledger is attached to the home, we install it behind the siding and waterproof the connection using flashing tape and metal flashing. The metal flashing runs beneath the siding and over the deck ledger to help direct water away from the structure and reduce the risk of moisture damage and rot over time.

These are the kinds of details that may not be obvious when you first look at a finished deck, but they are an important part of building something that can stand up to real Pacific Northwest weather.

A Personalized Deck Design Process

Every homeowner uses their outdoor space differently, so we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

When you contact Precision Fence & Deck, we’ll schedule a time to meet with you at your property. We’ll take measurements, talk through your ideas, review your preferred materials, and discuss how you want the finished deck to look and function.

We can also recommend design ideas, upgrades, railing options, pergolas, deck coverings, skylights, and other features based on your goals and budget.

When helpful, we can create a visual concept so you can get a better idea of what your finished project may look like before construction begins.

After the design conversation, we’ll prepare a detailed written estimate explaining the scope of work and the different stages of the project. We want both you and our team to have a clear understanding of what will be built before the first board is installed.

We Stand Behind Our Craftsmanship

We want our customers to feel confident in the contractor they hire.

Our workmanship is guaranteed. If there is ever an issue with something we built that is related to our craftsmanship, we will fix it at no charge.

For composite decking, Trex and TimberTech materials also include manufacturer warranties of up to 25 years or longer depending on the product selected.

We believe a deck should be something you can enjoy for years, not something you have to worry about after the project is complete.
